The Great Smoky Mountains National Park - Our Most Visited National Park

The Great Smoky Mountains National Park is located in southeastern Tennessee and borders North Carolina on its western side. The parked was so named because of the perpetual haze that lingers over the valleys and peaks that make up this part of the Appalachian Mountains.

Smoky Mountain National Park covers more than half a million acres and is home to a large diversity of wildlife and more than four thousand species of plants. Black bears can be seen on many of the trails in the park and quite frequently in Cades Cove and some campgrounds. Despite their rather cute appearance, they are not to be messed with.

Once a part of the Cherokee Indian homeland, the Smokies today are a hiker's paradise with over 800 miles of trails within the borders of the park. There are all classes of hiking trails for those that are just out for a nature walk to those that are serious hikers and climbers. You can even get backcountry permits to hike some of the more obscure trails not open to the general public.

The park is the most visited National Park in the entire United States with more than nine million visitors each year. You will want to plan out your adventure through the park as traffic can get quite congested in some of the more popular areas of the park, especially during the more popular summer months.

The Great Smoky Mountains National Park is serviced by the towns of Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and Townsend on the Tennessee side and by Maggie Valley and Cherokee on the North Carolina side. Each town offers a diverse mixture of activities, shopping, dining, lodging and of course, great southern hospitality.

Smoky Mountain National Park is also home to Cades Cove, one of the most serene and picturesque locations in the eastern United States. Cades Cove is a must see if you are anywhere near the Smoky Mountains on your vacation. The highlight of Cades Cove is the 11 mile loop that encircles the valley. To catch a glimpse of some of the Smokies wildlife, plan your trip around the loop road early in the morning or at dusk.

You will be able step back in history and enjoy the pioneer spirit for a few hours or a full day when you visit Cades Cove. Don't miss it.

There are an endless amount of activities to enjoy while visiting the Smoky Mountain National Park such as hiking as I mentioned earlier, biking, camping, wildlife watching, tubing and white water rafting and much more.

Come to the Smokies and experience the reason more than 9 million people vacation in this serene mountain paradise each and every year.

How do I Make Sure I get Approved for a Student Loan?

There are many questions that need to be answered before rushing in to apply for a student loan: Which loan do I need? How much money will I request? How long do I want the loan to last? What if I already have outstanding loans? How about the interest rate? Let's go step by step and answer these questions before going on:

Loan Types

There are mainly two types of student loans: Government student loans and private student loans. Federal Student Loans come with lower interest rates and are provided without consideration of credit score or history while private student loans carry higher interest rates, have more flexible terms that can be negotiated with the lender and approval is subject to credit checks. In order to get a federal student loan you need to meet several requirements that are not necessary for private student loans.

Loan Amount

The amount of money you'll be able to request depends on the loan type and on your credit score. Federal Student Loans come with preset amounts while private Student Loans are more flexible. However, the amount of money you'll be able to request with private student loans will be determined by your credit score and history. But, when it comes to loan amount, you should only request the exact amount you need. Nevertheless, try to foresee if you will have future expenses you'll need to cover as you might not be able to get approved for another loan while this is due.

Loan Length

The loan can last between 2 and 20 years or more. What you need to consider is how fast you want to get rid of your student debt after graduation and what is the amount of the monthly payments you'll be able to afford when you graduate. Don't rest assured you'll get a job right away, try to foresee any difficulties and save money to cover for them.

Outstanding Loans

If you have other loans you may want to refinance or consolidate into a single loan in order to reduce your monthly payments. You can request a student loan big enough to pay off the outstanding loans and finance your expenses with the remaining of the loan. In any case, watch the interest rates closely as it might be a better deal to leave the outstanding loans untouched.

Interest Rate

If possible get a fixed interest rate, the length of this kind of loans is long enough to worry about market variations that may raise your variable interest rate too much, turning monthly payments into an unbearable burden.

The key to getting an excellent deal is to shop around for lenders. If you don't qualify for government grants or loans, you can still get a competitive loan if you take the time to search for the right lender. Ask for loan quotes and compare them before selecting the lender you'll be applying to.

Managing Anxiety - Anxiety & Panic

Is there really a way to manage your anxiety?

The answer is yes. I know of many little nick knacks that can lessen the severity and reduce the amount of attacks and decrease how often they happen.

But honestly do you really want to learn to "manage" your attacks? I've got to ask why anyone would want to learn to "manage" their anxiety when there is a way to eliminate them for GOOD!

Is it because some sufferers are afraid of such a change? I guess if you've been living with it for 20+ years you might fear change. Or maybe it's because you don't truly "believe" there really is a way to eliminate anxiety and panic disorder for good! And probably the most worrisome and debilitating thought you can get stuck with would be "mine is different to everyone else's, it won't go away".

For as long as you keep a mind set like those I just mentioned, I guarantee you that you will be stuck with living and trying to manage your anxiety.

But I can also guarantee you that if you make the change in your mind, start believing there really is a way out of this painstaking life limiting thing we call anxiety and panic disorder then it becomes possible.

Start by removing the question "How can I manage my anxiety" and start replacing it with this question instead "What can I do to eliminate my anxiety for good!?"

When people eliminate anxiety from their lives that is the question they are asking themselves! They believe "YES I AM GOING TO BREAK FREE OF THIS". They refuse to accept the fact that this is it for life. They actively try methods to eliminate it, not methods that just manage it.

How To Buy Art Online

Just a few years ago it seemed people thought the idea of purchasing "clothing" through the internet was absurd. How would you know if it fits? What if it doesn't fit? What if my credit card number gets stolen? Those were just a few of the many questions I personally had five or so years ago. Hopefully this article will help enlighten some of your inquiries.

The internet has significantly changed the art market. Significantly, meaning people now have choices at their fingertips. The sometimes intimidating and cold art galleries, is now an option. With many art websites offering money back guarantees, secure shopping and customer support, people do not have to feel as though purchasing anything off the site is Russian roulette.

Here are some hints and tips I feel might be useful:

Search and Search Some More: Without the hassles of walking/driving from one gallery to another and limiting gallery hours you have more time at your disposal to do your research. You will have the ability to view hundreds of artworks within the average time someone will be able to see a dozen by actually going to a gallery. For me that means a greater chance to find a new painting I will fall in love with.

Take your Time: Yes buying off the internet is far from perfect so follow your heart and take your time. Send the image to your friends, research the artist and take advantage of the many gallery website features available at your disposal, such as "view-to-scale, background colors, zoom, etc". Ask questions if you want by emailing the website and also you can compare shop. Remember if you like one artwork and its too expensive for your taste or pocketbook there is surely another painting that is similar and can fit your budget.

Protect Yourself: Read up on the website. Find out how long its been in business. See if the website provides secure shopping and secured online purchases. Read about what the customers and any articles have to say about the website and its artists. Check if the artwork will come with an authentication that you feel comfortable with and find out if they have a return policy that you find reasonable. When you have done your homework, buy the artwork and enjoy your new artwork purchased through the future of art shopping with confidence.

Father's Day With Grandfathers - Ten Ways To Help Your Kids Celebrate Grandpa

The bond between a grandfather and his grandchildren is often unlike any other relationship. Here are ten ideas for helping your kids celebrate and honor Grandpa this Father's Day.

1. Ask each of the grandkids to draw a picture of themselves enjoying time with Grandpa and to include a note letting him know how they feel about him. This can be an annual tradition, and you can showcase the letters and drawings in a special keepsake album.

2. Write a letter to your father or father-in-law to let him know how you feel about him and about his role as grandfather. Tell him what you admire about him and the kind of effect he has had on his grandchildren. Talk about his legacy as a man and as a grandfather.

3. Take a family photograph and have it framed in a beautiful setting that would match the favorite room of his home. This can be a professional family portrait or a collage of candids, depending on his personal tastes.

4. Give Grandpa his favorite photo in a unique photo gift. Photo processing websites offer everything from mousepads to coffee cups to playing cards, and adding your favorite photo to these items takes just a few minutes and just a few clicks. These gifts are very popular because they are both practical and sentimental.

5. Take a container that relates to one of grandfather's favorite pastimes and make a treasured keepsake. First, cut out slips of paper and distribute them in the family so that everyone can write down their favorite memories with grandpa. Then put all of these memories in an inexpensive container: a new coffee cup, a fishing tacklebox, or an old cigar case.

6. Take Grandfather out to his favorite restaurant or invite him to a barbecue in your backyard on Father's Day. Research family history and present your findings to Grandpa over dinner. This can be as elaborate as researching and making a family history book, or simply doing a bit of Internet research and printing what you find.

7. If Grandpa loves gadgets, take a look at the fun ideas online at gift specialty stores. Treat him to something fun that will enrich his everyday life.

8. Books and magazines are always great gifts. Give grandpa a history book that details a time he remembers fondly or that made a particular impact on him. Or maybe he would prefer a series of books by his favorite author or on his favorite subject. You might want to look for the large print edition or the audiobook version so that grandpa can enjoy the book as he walks or does work around the house or yard.

9. Give Grandpa a box set of his favorite music or a set of DVDs from his favorite movie genre.

10. Bake up a batch of grandfather's favorite brownies, cookies, or other sweet treats (make sure to enlist the help of the kids.)

How To Detoxify Your Body With Herbal Teas

When you detoxify your body, your aim is to get rid of the toxicity in your organs of elimination such as the skin, kidneys, liver, lungs and bowel. This is an important step, as toxic load is stressful on your body. Unattended, this can result in a fragile immune system, chronic feelings of fatigue, and poor health.

The body's autonomic mechanism is astonishingly effective at eliminating wastes and poisons from the system. Its functioning is enhanced when you detoxify your body with herbal teas that possess cleansing and detoxifying efficacy.

The use of herbal teas is a time-honoured tradition. You can view herbal teas as high mineral drinks during the time when you detoxify your body. They give energy but save you the trouble of having to eat solid proteins or carbohydrates for fuel. Herbal teas are essentially body balancers, and their mild detoxification properties are easy for the body to utilise.

The volatile oils and phenolic compounds in herbs are released by hot brewing water. When taken in small doses during the period when you detoxify your body, they bathe the tissues with concentrated natural support that promote cell regeneration and release of toxic waste. Generally, you can derive greater effect by taking herbs together than singly.

To get the best results of herbal teas when you detoxify your body, use a non-metallic pot, such as ceramic or earthenware. Stainless steel, although acceptable, is not encouraged; avoid aluminium as it reduces herbal effects and the soft metal could leach into the tea. Pack loose herbs into a small tea ball, and heat about 3 cups of water until it boils. Once you remove the water from heat, add and steep the herbs, covered for twenty-five minutes if you are using a root or bark herbal tea, or ten to fifteen minutes for a leaf or flower herbal tea.

Keep the lid tightly closed during steeping and storage. The volatile oils are the most nourishing part of the drink and, being volatile, will escape if left uncovered. Drink teas in small quantities over time rather than all at once, to allow the gradual build-up of the medicinal value in your tissues. Two or three cups taken daily render the best therapeutic effects.

Bear in mind that each medicine, whether natural or man-made, has its medicinal properties. If not used correctly, you may get untoward effects instead of the desired therapeutic benefits. It is a good idea to read works on herbs and herbal teas and talk with an expert who studies herbs, before you begin using herbal teas to detoxify your body.

Can I Pick and Choose Which Credit Cards to File Bankruptcy On?

"I want to bankrupt this credit card, but I want to keep this one and keep paying on it." This is one of the common statements I hear from my clients at their free consultation. First off, the terminology is wrong. You are bankrupt. You can't bankrupt a debt. In addition, the law presumes you to be bankrupt 90 days prior to your filing. That means, you don't wake up one morning and say "oh, I'm bankrupt".

So what is wrong with only going bankrupt on one credit card and not the other (besides the wrong use of the terminology)? Plenty!

When you file a Chapter 7 or a Chapter 13, the bankruptcy code states that you must list every debt you have and give notice to every creditor you owe. That means if Aunt Millie loaned you $500.00 to fix your car, you must list the debt to Aunt Millie and give notice to Aunt Millie in your bankruptcy petition. It does not matter if Aunt Millie never expects to be paid back or if she will be heart broken if you file bankruptcy. It is a legitimate debt, so it must be listed. However, the bankruptcy code does not prevent you from voluntarily paying back Aunt Millie once you receive your discharge from the bankruptcy court. The debt is discharged by operation of law, so your legal obligation to repay this debt has been eliminated. If you feel a moral obligation to repay Aunt Millie, you are free to do so afterwards.

What about credit cards? The same thing. You must list every debt you owe and give notice to every creditor you have (even the credit cards you have that has a zero balance). If you choose not to list a debt or give notice to a creditor, you may have committed bankruptcy fraud, which is a federal felony, and you may lose your discharge, or worse yet, go to jail.

What if you forgot to list a creditor? Well, this may not rise to the level of fraud, but you run the chance of not discharging that debt in your bankruptcy. This means the creditor may collect this debt even after you are out of bankruptcy. So it is very important to give your attorney every debt you owe and give every creditor you have, so they can properly prepare your petition. Even if your petition has been filed, it is not too late to add a creditor or debt to your petition.

Also, if you think by not adding a credit card or creditor to your petition you could keep the card and continue using it, think again. Aside from the fraud issues, each of your credit card companies do a periodic check on your credit report. If they see that you have filed bankruptcy, they will more than likely shut off your card and immediately collect the debt (remember, they received no notice so it is possible that the debt has not been discharged). Now, you have no use of the card and the creditor is harassing you for payment. You are right back where you started before you filed, and you cannot file another Chapter 7 for eight years.

Think of bankruptcy as an "all or nothing" game when it comes to listing your debts.

How to Identify Birds With Ease

Can you identify birds? How many of the various species are you familiar with? Well, believe it or not, you may know a lot more than you think. And they are surely quite a few people who are very enthusiastic about it. In fact, bird watching is still a rather popular hobby. However, it can be rather time-consuming to do the proper research if you plan to sort through the many airborne creatures that populate our skies. Regardless, this can be a fun and exciting past-time if you give it a shot.

Wouldn't it be cool if you were able to impress all your friends by knowing each and every bird you spotted? I think it would be rather impressive and I bet you to surprise them too. The great part is, you don't really need much to get started. It's a very inexpensive hobby to undertake. All you really need is a decent set of action is and they could bird book for reference.

Whenever you see a prayer that you don't readily recognize, or has the usual features it really does catch your eye doesn't it? Maybe at that point you were probably wishing that you knew how to identify birds. I can recall feeling this way many times as a kid. Growing up in the country certainly has its high points, but it's much more exciting if you understand the nature around you. My father came the sum of my first lessons on how to properly identify birds.

I first rejected the notion thinking that it was rather boring pastime to get involved with. However, as I grew and experienced camping and fishing much more, I eventually wanted to know how to identify birds and the various species of plants and other wildlife. While identifying birds is really very enjoyable, identifying plants can come in real handy if you spend any amount of time outdoors. You can ask anyone who's ever had an encounter with poison ivy. That can be a really unpleasant experience.

After spending a summer along the Mississippi River with my dad and little brothers, I really began to have a surge appreciation of how to identify birds. A personal favorite of mine is the Blue Heron. You too can learn how to identify birds in no time at all. There is an absolutely huge volume of books readily available just about anywhere that will help you a great deal. The Internet is also a wonderful resource.

Just do a quick search and you will have more information than you can ever read. The key to great bird watching once you've learned the names and characteristics is a great pair of binoculars. Binoculars are a key component in tier birdwatching activities so after he realized how much you enjoyed it, you may want to upgrade to a really good pair. That ideal pair of bird watching binoculars can make a world of difference, and can be had at a very reasonable rate. Enjoy your watching. They certainly have been preachers.

The Da Vinci Code: Teaching Moment or -?

Christian Foes of 'Da Vinci Code' Debate How to Fight It: Leaders of many denominations agree that the novel the movie is based on attacks the pillars of Christianity, but some are planning a boycott while others see a "teaching moment." --New York Times, May 11th, 2006

This headline from writer Laurie Goodstein caught our attention, just as this novel turned big-budget movie has everyone's attention. And different denominations of the Christian church have chosen to respond to that attention with criticism instead of a reinforcing of the harmonious aspects of The Da Vinci Code's message.

Surely when a person or an institution feels attacked it may be natural to choose defensiveness over the opportunity to learn. But that's where hidden value is going to waste. Instead of this default habit, being open and putting energy into proactive efforts may yield better results. The headline states that some religious groups will spend their energy boycotting what others see as a teaching moment. Which is more empowering?

What happens when we assume the pillars of a tradition or school of thought can't be looked at from a new angle? What happens when something is so sacred that it discourages being reassessed with fresh eyes? When something - be it a fern or a person's creative license - stops being open to growing and changing, it dies.

What was Dan Brown's point in writing The Da Vinci Code? Did he and the director intend to incite controversy, or were they just hoping to light up the audience's reverence for art, religion and a thrilling hunt for clues?

If it was created simply to entertain, even with a little spice of controversy to keep us engaged, it succeeded. It's a best-seller, a hit film and you're even reading an article about an article about the reactions to it right now.

If it was created to promote beliefs that are contrary to the dominant religious ideals, you could say that has been successful, too. Otherwise, why would we all be talking about it?

So for audience members and religious leaders alike, remember that you'll get more of what you put your attention, energy and focus toward. Would you rather have more of a teaching moment or a boycott?

How instead, could the religious leaders have received the film in a way that encourages the similarities between the two messages? How instead could they relay gratitude that The Da Vinci Code is helping more people inquire deeper into their own lives about the pillars of Christianity? How instead could we all see this as a teaching moment?

Consider the following:

In what ways could the energy that would be spent boycotting be used to foster or indulge in more teaching moments?

Why spend effort avoiding what doesn't work for you? What might happen if you focus on what does work for you instead?

What do you and those around you take as fact or truth that, if you looked at it differently, might benefit you more?

What is so sacred in your own life that you're not willing to look at it with freshness? What assumptions are you making that it may be time to challenge?

Where are your emotions or judgments keeping you closed to the lessons that are already happening around you?

Take a moment to write down 10 places in your life where you criticize yourself, others or almost taken-for-granted schools of thought or belief systems. Then write down how holding these thoughts and opinions is benefiting you, and how you might further benefit from letting them go. Take some time to talk with your coach or a friend about where your reaction to someone else's choice is keeping you from moving through to your own choices. And send us an email so we can support you in this process; looking at sacred areas of your life is courageous, and we applaud you!

Are You Ready For a Virtual Assistant to Handle Prospecting For Your Paid Speaking Engagements?

For Experts, Authors, Speakers, Business Leaders, Top Producers and Cultural Heroes Who Want to Speak

Are You Ready for a Virtual Assistant to Handle Prospecting for Your Paid Speaking Engagements?

For many leaders and experts who speak professionally, virtual assistants are on the rise. If you're designing your business plan for speaking professionally and want to utilize a virtual representative, it is critical that you have a system of checks and balances to make sure that your representative is introducing you and your expertise in a way that puts paid engagements on your calendar.

Representatives of speakers, called by names such as representatives, booking agents, marketing representatives and sales representatives, are included in the "virtual" revolution. But, is it a good idea for your speaking business?

If I am working from a different location than a speaker, I request a preferred written script to make sure that I accurately represent her/his interests, cover the topics adequately and learn the questions that meeting planners in that industry appreciate.

All industries have their own preferences or channels for directing speaking inquiries. And while it's often best to speak with the CEO or chairman of the board who often makes the decisions for speaker selection, it can be impossible to reach them most of the time. An unseasoned agent or representative, whether virtual or not, needs coaching on the speaker's methods of reaching those decision-makers.

In addition to the speaker's expertise, a booking agent used to be the primary reason that a speaker was booked or not. Today, there are sophisticated, ecommerce businesses that position the speaker and attract the eye of the meeting planners, driving traffic to their websites. But there is much that an in-house or virtual assistant can do to reach out to the target market.

Excluding bureau bookings, the best indicator of the effectiveness of your virtual agent is how many paid speaking engagements you have on your calendar. The best indicator of the number of engagements you'll have in the future is the list of qualified prospects you have. The best way to ensure that you have qualified prospects is to organize a marketing campaign so that you, your Internet technology and your representative are reaching out to your target market on a daily basis. The way that you are positioned in the marketplace and the way that you are attracting business via your website will assist and supplement the efforts of your representative.

How can you ensure that your virtual agent is prospecting? It's by systematizing the booking process, establishing a reporting system of daily activities and holding him or her accountable.

Begin with a list of daily and weekly activities and objectives that you expect. Create a daily time sequence of productive and in-productive activities. Productive activities are sales activities. In-productive activities are the necessary administrative tasks that are required to prospect, follow through and complete the sale such as assembling appropriate introductory information, possibly mailing items and other clerical tasks.

In working with a virtual booking agent, there is one golden rule: You have to inspect what you expect. Even if you have told her/him exactly what to do and say on a daily basis, it is difficult if not impossible to observe and evaluate with a virtual assistant.

Here's a quick start guide to working with your virtual assistant in the role of booking you:

1. Establish your unique selling proposition, your "I am- I do" statement. This should be on all of your collateral material, your website, at the end of your articles, on the back of your business card, your letterhead...everything you have that is an extension of your business.

Your representative needs to know exactly who you are and what your value is to your market place. She needs to know how you differ from other speakers in your area of expertise or in your industry.

2. Identify your target market. Never leave this to your assistant to figure out.

3. Gather various resources for lead generation. If the lists come from Google searches or directories or industry publications or online magazines/newsletters, inform your virtual representative of the sources for the best lists. Those should be merged into your contact management system, such as ACT or Microsoft Outlook.

4. Write a short and concise prospecting script for prospecting that anyone can use with a conversational tone. This one script can be repurposed for various organizations. I have "cheat sheets" on the wall in front of me with key words and phrases that trigger appropriate questions and industry trends that are intended to increase personal interest and engage the client more fully. I keep deal points close by so that I do not become overwhelmed when speaking with different clients.

The purpose of the prospecting call is to identify A leads. Those are prospects that are in your target market, interested in your expertise, have a scheduled event, are considering speakers in your fee range and would like to review your promotional materials. Be sure to include pertinent questions in your

5. Role play and rehearse the script with your assistant. Demonstrate exactly how you want the call to be handled.

6. Identify every bit of information that you want distributed about you and your expertise. Those items have in the past been mailed, but now, the majority of speakers follow through electronically with attachments such as your biographical sketch with facts about you, your presentation topic(s), your fee schedule, a list of third party endorsements. The follow through should be immediately following the call to all prospects that qualify as an A lead.

7. On a daily basis, require that your virtual assistant report to you on a daily basis all of the A leads. Incidentally, it's a good idea to require experienced agents to report the same on a weekly basis.

8. Monitor and evaluate the results you're getting. If you do not get the results you expected, audit your virtual agent's conversation with prospective buyers and determine if the tone, the professionalism and accuracy of the call is the way that you want to be represented. You may need to build more questions into the script, shorten or change the entire script.

The best way to judge whether or not your assistant can do the job virtually is to monitor the results daily or weekly. In the beginning of your relationship with your virtual assistant, you should be following up with the prospect and handling any objections. If you find that you're distributing more info via email with little to no return, there is a very good chance that the script isn't effective or that your virtual agent's script needs to be modified for qualifying those leads.

You may discover that you've hired the wrong person for the job. Representatives who wish to work from their homes may not have the discipline, work ethic and focus that booking you requires. You may realize that "virtual" equals too much time, money and trouble! Perhaps your representatives will be more productive and serve you better by being where you are!

Dixie Chicks "Taking The Long Way" Country Music CD Review

The very talented, and controversial Dixie Chicks trio has finally released their follow up CD to the largely popular 2002 release, Home.

Their latest release entitled Taking The Long Way comes after a somewhat turbulent couple of years for the Chicks following the fury that descended upon the group when lead singer Natalie Maines stated she was ashamed that President Bush was from her native Texas.

Those Anti-Bush comments initially spoken off the cuff in concert but then repeated in numerous interviews, earned her, and indeed the entire trio, plenty of enemies within the music community. Most notably from country music star Toby Keith.

That whole episode aside they're back with Taking The Long Way and sounding as bitter and defiant as ever. At least five of the songs on the CD are clearly angry, edgy tracks. No doubt related to and fueled by the above mentioned episode.

For this reviewer music is about emotion. Constantly reminding myself if I can't 'Feel' my music it's just noise. The one thing I must say about this CD is that it is certainly not just noise. It is very heavily charged with emotion. Just the way I like my music.

Maines, in a highly emotion state throughout the CD, reasserts herself as one of the great vocalists of her time, bringing it all home with committed, deeply emotional leads. At times seeming to flaunt her ease with styles ranging from country-rock to contemporary rock balladry to southern soul. Simply brilliant work.

With songs like the defiant Not Ready to Make Nice and Lubbock or Leave It, the Dixie Chicks don't sound at all like they're in retreat.

The CD launches with a great track, The Long Way Around, that will definitely be heard on radio stations everywhere, and deservedly so. From there the trio proceeds to display why they are currently one of the best performing groups on the planet.

The collection features a long list of notable contributors, most notably is Sheryl Crow as a co-writer.

Overall Taking The Long Way is another outstanding release from the Dixie Chicks. Offering more sober, grown up, even urbanized sounds. What I call, must have music. I give it two thumbs up. A CD even the casual music fan can appreciate and enjoy.

The standout tunes on Taking The Long Way are Easy Silence [track 2], Not Ready To Make Nice [track 3], and Lubbock Or Leave It [track 7]. My Bonus Pick, and the one that got Sore [...as in "Stuck On REpeat"] is track 1, The Long Way Around. Very nice!

Construction Site Security - Better Handled By Professionals

A building site that is under construction, contrary to popular belief, offers a great opportunity for thieves especially if it is not under the close scrutiny of a construction site security detail. The popular belief stems from the appearance of most construction areas where there is a lot of rubble, dust and debris strewn about. But to the trained eye, or even to an observant vagrant, it is almost like coming upon a gold field. Copper wire, loads of wood, fixtures, the possibilities are endless. These sites are a haven for thieves.

The Question: To Secure Or Not?

Undertaking construction site security jobs is one that needs to be done with extreme care. Needless to say, the term 'security' is one that states an absolute condition. And therefore, there are only two states with respect to it: that of there being security and it's opposite that of its absence. There is no grey area. And there is no such thing as '99.9% secure'. A 0.1% breach of security implies that there is 0% security as anyone can take advantage of that breach to gain access to the whole construction site.

Security Concerns

It should be noted that when mentioning construction area security, it doesn't only cover the prevention of property theft. There are many ways that a construction site can be attacked. For example, defacing property, vandalism of machinery and ruining the constructed edifices are some of the other ways harm can be done to a construction site - the limit is actually up to the creativity of the trespasser.

Security Solutions

There are many security solutions that need to be put in place to prevent them. A construction company now has to make the decision on whether or not to hire a company or take care of its own security internally. As a business it would make good sense if the company chose to outsource the security job. This would help it to concentrate on what it does best: construction. This would leave everything to the security company. This enables the security company to do what it does best: security.

There are companies that offer construction site security across the board or a security packet that is designed to meet the specific requirements of the client. It is usually best to have the security firm send out a representative for a free security assessment. Their trained eye can design a security program that meets the needs of your site.
